Maoist threat: security beefed up in district

Police have beefed up security in the district due to the nationwide protest by Maoists following the death of Maoist leader Kishenji.

Dog squads have been in place at KSRTC bus stands, railway stations, hospitals, cinema theatres to ensure security. All important places in the district are under police surveillance.

Kishenji was killed on November 24 on West Bengal-Jharkhand border in a police encounter.
